If you create a lot of Google Docs, you may want to streamline that process.
Here's a simple link for creating a new Doc:
https://docs.google.com/a/MYDOMAIN/document/create?hl=en
Don't forget to replace "MYDOMAIN" with your actual domain.
The link may be saved as a favorite/bookmark in your browser, or incorporated into a desktop shortcut.
You may also use links to streamline creation of other file types in Google Drive:
https://docs.google.com/a/MYDOMAIN.com/spreadsheet
https://docs.google.com/a/MyDOMAIN.com/presentation/create?hl=en
https://docs.google.com/a/MYDOMAIN.com/drawings/create?hl=en
If your instance of Google Docs is not part of Google Apps for Work, you may still use these links, but you would leave out the reference to a domain, like this:
https://docs.google.com/document/create?hl=en
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet
https://docs.google.com/presentation/create?hl=en
https://docs.google.com/drawings/create?hl=en
