If you create a lot of Google Docs, you may want to streamline that process.
Here's a simple link for creating a new Doc:

Don't forget to replace "MYDOMAIN" with your actual domain.
The link may be saved as a favorite/bookmark in your browser, or incorporated into a desktop shortcut.
